A rest

That's right you got it. WE GOT TO STAY HOME AND DO NOTHING!!!!!! Okay maybe not nothing. We caught up on a lot of much needed cleaning. How can a house get so dirty when we are never home?
So here are a few pictures from this summer we just haven't had time to post enjoy.

Here you go Lindsey

For us it has been a quiet week
Monday brought Drei's last game of the season. Which was lost is grand fashion 30-3. It also started Dreigan at Cub Scout Day camp. There he learned to shoot a bb gun and archery. Scarry now he's armed and dangerous!

Tuesday brought a den meeting and finale prep for camping. .

Wednesday Dreigan had his last day at cub scout day camp and his skit. Which has taken way longer than it should to splice together and put up here, sorry about the lack of sound.

At day camp Dreigan was able to earn both his archery and BB belt loops in Cub Scouts. Go Dreigan Go.

Thursday Dreigan was sick with heat exhaustion and dehydration so we sort of stayed home. Well actually we went shopping for the camping trip. At least it was cool and he was able to drink lots and lots of water.

Friday Dreigan, Fionna, and Christi left for our pack's fishing camping trip.

Saturday Nick and Naya stayed home and hung out just the two of them, while Dreigan, Fionna, and Christi spent the morning at Navajo lake fishing, after noon earning the map and compass belt loop, the evening at quality water doing more fishing. We had a fishing expert from the park come and help the boys and teach them about the different fish, lures, and styles of fishing, ie lake vs river. Christi caught her first fish, a 9 inch oh I mean 18 inch rainbow trout at quality waters. It was delicious.

Sunday the pack picked up trash for two hours, went swimming, and came home very tired.

The Storm

Yes, we have affectionately decided to call this last week the storm, but we look at it the way out here in the dessert we look forward to any and all rain. Sweet, much needed and always long over due. So here goes.....
Monday brought Lara,Ben, Caelyn, Beverly, and Dick. It also brought Fionna's dress rehearsal for ballet. Dreigan chose to watch Fionna's rehersal so Naya and Caelyn enjoyed some one on one time to get to know each other. Here is also a video of them talking:

.

Tuesday brought Dinner with Nick's family at the BAR D. Which in itself was hectic because Nick and Christi still had to work, but also because the green van chose this day to over heat. We will get to it later what is going on with it. Below is a picture of Dreigan's dinosaurs after he grew them that he bought at the Bar D

Wednesday brought a family bar-b-q at Cathy and Steve's. We couldn't pass on the opportunity to have all four in one picture. It's not great but they are all looking sort of toward the camera.

Thursday brought Dick and Beverly going home and Fionna's ballet Concert. It was Anastasia. She did a great job. I will try to rip the section of the video and put it on of Fionna dancing.
Friday brought a quite night at home, thanks god Christi spent the day helping in the two year old classroom at work.

Saturday brought house work and starting to prep for camping. Nick took the van to the shop to have an oil change, radiator flush and just a general look. Apparently when Christi replaced the battery last week it freaked out the computer which needed to be reset. This cause all the electronics to work screwy. So much for a simple cheap do it yourself fix. Also Ben S and his friend Nick came over to hang out with Nick. Yes we know it is confusing.

Sunday brought more house work. Nick ended up spending three hours of Father's Day at the laundry mat. We have fallen behind and with camping next week end with the pack again.
So goes our whirl wind summer

Just a few great pictures

The calm before the storm

Not much happened the second half of this week.
On Friday Driegan had a game, the last regular scheduled game of the year. We have city tournament week of June 16th. His coach gave him a great complement. Mike said "I would rather play with Dreigan than many of the other kids on the team, for while he has half the skill of many of the other kids he has twice the heart. Dreigan never gives me problem about positions, batting order, or how much game is left. As for skill that can be over come that with practice, but heart just has to be there and it makes Dreigan a privilege to work with." What a great complement to give Dreigan. Grand-pa Jim and Aunt Susie also made the game thanks for coming along with Dextin and bunch of his family. Dreigan's fan club took up over half the stands.
On Saturday we spent the day in the park at the PMS company picnic. The kids had a ton of fun even if it could have been better organized.
Sunday we made it to our church for the first time in six months. We didn't have anywhere else to be and everyone was healthy. Thank God for small favors. We went to see a cub scout friend who is the music minster sing only to find he was having emergency gall bladder surgery later that day. We send Jon all our love and prayers to a fast recovery.
Monday Fionna has dress rehearsal for her recital. The kids can not wait for Ben, Lara and mostly Caelyn. We see them tonight. They are super excited.

Great Medical News

Donna has reached the half way point on her interferon, for Hep C. She got the green light to finish the last six months. Her viral load is way down, and with a little medical assistance her red blood cells are in the acceptable range. Please keep praying we want to keep Donna aka Grandma around for a very long time.

one and a half weeks later

See I told you all it was crazy in our world.
Monday- we came home from camping stinky and tired.
Tuesday- Fionna had her last day of preschool. She has been passed to kindergarten, like there were any doubts. Dreigan and Fionna both had water days at school so they were so tired.
Wednesday- Dreigan had his last day of school. He was promoted to third grade. Way to go!!! Fionna had her finale rehearsal at the studio for her recital on June 12th.
Thursday- Nick rescued two kitten about a month old. We spent the evening nursing them. Naya became very attached, to bad she couldn't keep them. She said they were her babies. Dreigan also had a baseball game.
Friday- We left for ABQ and enjoyed a weekend of fun.
Saturday- We went and saw the natural history museum, they have a new Triassic period hall. So cool! We also did a bunch of shopping.
Sunday- We spent the day at the zoo. We missed feeding the giraffes by 5 minutes. Bummer.
Monday- Dreigan had another game. His team won their first game.
Tuesday- Scouts all over again. We are gearing-up for our camping trip in June. It will be a fishing trip. YUCK!
Wednesday- Nick and Christi both have to work late, so the kids will be spending the evening with Cathy and Steve. Fionna has pictures in her dance costume.

Oh my gosh I have no idea how we get everything done.
