A long month of no news

I know there as been a long delay but as the title implies nothing has really happened, then again I suppose that's not really true. As I look at February's calendar I can see we have kept our normal pace of life.

Naya is enjoy more than expected staying home with Donna. They clean the house, bake, run errands, care for sick siblings, get ready for Ahonora, go to the library's story time, and the children's museum play group. Yes she still dances on Saturdays and seems to really love ballet, she is not so fond of tap. She also went with Nick to a Daddy Daughter dance where she sat in the coner with her jacket hood up for 1hr 15 min of a 2 hr dance. She still seems to have fun and talks about it when she sees the pictures. She also had a dentist appointment, they found all her adult teeth this time in the x-ray and has no cavities.

Fionna finished selling Girl Scout cookies and we are now working on delivering them, she sold around 60 boxes not bad considering we did not go door to door. Fionna also went with Nick to the dance she danced the whole time, poor Nick had to split himself. Fionna also had an excellent dentist appointment no cavities.

Dreigan is working very hard to finish his Bear rank for cub scouts. On the 14th he went to Lowes and made a jewelry box which he gave to the girls. He continues to work on his religious award as well on the 8th we celebrated Boy Scout Sunday. The boys ushered, acolyte, and did a flag ceremony. He is still very active in the fine arts program he now has lines to memorize for their play, a trumpet solo, singing solo, plus the group work. Drei did get very sick the week proceeding valentines, he ran a fever over 100 for four days it got up 104.3. We found it very hard to break. The final medical results was a fairly pervasive Strep infection, nose, throat, sinus, ears, and bladder with most likely a secondary viral infection as well. We know this because they cultures it seemed like everything, plus a ultrasound. Drei also went to the dentist and had no cavities.

Nick this month has been very busy helping Christi take care of things. He taught God and Me one time this month. He has been great about picking-up extra housework, which we all know is about the last thing Nick wants to do. He did take the girls to a Daddy Daughter dance.

Christi & Ahonora combined them because one can't be with out the other for now. Hopefully not much longer. They continue to go to work 40hr a week and get up and down off the floor in the classroom. Christi is hurting and is very ready to be over with this, but will have to just wait since as of Tuesday 24 Christi was only dilated to 1. Scouts moves on with the girls selling cookies and the boys wrapping last few requirements needed to finish rank in time for the award ceremony on March 17th ( mark the date). Christi/Ahonora also had two baby showers one with work and one with family. Thanks to everyone I think we have everything we need and are as ready as we can be.
Donna I thing we covered it pretty much.

10 years dispite best efforts

The last two weeks have been busy as usual, may be a little more than normal. It might have just felt that way because we have been passing around and around a cold/flu thing.

Ahonora continues to grow and yes this is the finale spelling. We did listen to all that everyone had to say and here is our answers to your concerns. It is an uncommon enough name that most people will not try to spell it without checking first, besides even common names get misspelled. As for the nicknames other children will find a way to tease no matter what. I know people who tried to avoid it no avail. As for the nickname that was specifically named we hope to instill in our girls a greater since of self worth than to allow themselves to be verbally abused that way, in fact the young women who are allowing their friends and boyfriends to call them such degrading name make me very sad and often their nicknames have nothing to do with what their real name is.

Naya has been very sick all two weeks. Every three to four days she can not keep anything down, and chokes.

Fionna has started selling Girl Scout Cookies if you would like some let us know she has one more week to sell.

Dreigan turned 10. Nick and Christi have come to the realization that this may have been the easy ten years. He only tried to die on us three times and had five surgeries. We celebrated with a swim party in which there was about 60 guests. We had a blast. He also built the Tie Fighter he received for Christmas this weekend with help from all the adults.

Christi continues to work and work despite being sick. She wishes she could either get better or get really sick so that she can stay home from work.

Nick feels the same way.

Donna is working hard to get things arranged for Ahonora, since it has been decided that she is going to stay home with the kids. The last few weeks with her home have been great and did not stress the budget as much as we had feared it would.
