And

And life goes on.

Ahonora continues to grow she now smiles, coos, and can roll over both tummy to back and back to tummy. We are still working on her insurance with Blue cross blue shield, but she did qualify for medicaid. We are also contemplating placing her on SSI to help pay for any bills that insurance won't cover. Other news we took Ahonora on her first camping trip with the scouts. Cathy, Steve and Gracie also joined us up at Navajo lake. The kids really seemed to have tons of fun.

Naya is mad at God because he sent her a kitten instead of a puppy. We were cleaning out the shed to get ready for camping when we found a litter (3) kittens starving and near death. Well in the time it took us to finish checking the camping gear before going to town Naya became attached and had to keep one, so we obliged and kept the strongest. The rest went to the pound. Naya named her kitten Brownie and gives her a bottle during the day. Brownie also sleeps with Naya or should I say under Naya. In one week Brownie has gone from a weak scared feral kitten to a kitten who comes out when she hears people just to attack their feet. Next time you see Naya ask her about looking for Dinosaur bones. We went out with the scouts to Nagezi wear she did find some fossils but also had to pee on the ground. She was so excited about it, she couldn't wait to get to Navajo lake so she could pee on the ground again .

Fionna has been promoted to the 1st grade. She already knows 94 of 100 of her sight words for the first grade. Fionna and Naya are working very hard to get ready for their ballet recital on Friday June 12th if you are going to be there please let me know so we can buy enough tickets.

Dreigan seems to have gotten his behavior under control. We did increase his meds since he had gain 12 pounds and 2 inches since the weight/ height check. He was also promoted to the 4th grade. Dreigan found fossilized dino poop and crystallized petrified wood out at Nagezi.

Christi continues to work and juggle scouts. She was able to keep a total of 13 cub and girl scouts busy all weekend long at Navajo lake. That is not easy when they range in age from 6-11. Christi also met with the staff at ECHO to do the next step in buying a house. They gave her several applications to fill out for a variety of programs that the federal government and the state of New Mexico have to help families buy a house.

Nick is doing inventory at work so he has been working long hours.

Donna stays busy caring for Naya, Ahonora and now Brownie as Brownie needs to be bottle fed every 3 hours.

Bigger than Naya

It has been three weeks since going to San Antonio and we have been very busy, as usual.

Ahonora had her 2 month well child check where she weighed in at 10lbs even and 22 1/4 inches making reach the goal of being bigger than Naya at birth. She was having difficulty breathing so our doctor ordered an EKG and chest x-ray. She has allergy induced asthma. UNM called us on the 28th and asked if we could bring Ahonora down at 8am the next morning or wait to September, so Nick and Christi quickly took the day off and away they went. We saw the genetic specialist there they answered some more questions, created a base line, ordered some more genetic tests, found out Ahonora is in the 90th percentile for girls her age with Turner's, and made some referrals. Back to Dr Cassidy the next day for a follow up where she now weighs 10lbs 6 oz. That is 6 oz in one week, go girl go! All this while we are in limbo over Ahonora's health insurance, according to Christi's work we were 1 day late turning in paperwork so she cannot be added until open enrollment until February, Blue Cross Blue Shield say there is no problem since we are not changing our premiums since we already pay the max at three kids adding a fourth will not increase any thing so we have up to one year to add her.

Back to appealing to PMS and getting an unfair policy changed since Christi turned in the birth certificate the day she was able to receive it and it was the first day we could get it here in San Juan county. We knew this because we needed it to take Ahonora on the plane. There is also an application into medicaid.

Naya has enjoyed taking care of Ahonora while mom is at work, but asks mom to stay home many days. She does love going over see mom at work, if fact she told Donna one day "I'm not happy now I need to go to mom's work so she can hold me". She did race her car at district pinewood derby and had lots fun. She discovered the little girls her age next door are home too, with their encouragement she has learned to pedal her tricycle. She also fell playing in the drive scraping her face, that precipitated a city officer stopping while driving by to ask what happened. So glad that they are watching out for child abuse.

Fionna had a fun day at her school, Donna, Naya and Ahonora joined her. She also raced her car. Fionna is so excited because her class is studying the ocean because of our trip to Sea World.

Dreigan has been very busy and not in a good way. He took Christi's mp3 player without permission to school and then gave it to a little girl. We did get it back. He made a sexually inappropriate comment to a little girl ( a different girl) and ran away from school when confronted. Then he was in a fight at school with three other boys. He kissed a little girl (same one as afore mentioned one) without her permission. Last he took his pocket knife to school, for all this in two week period he received three days of suspension. Dreigan is now spending his free time doing yard work.

In good news he received most original design at district pinewood derby for his scout built car. He also received his Bear rank.

Christi has returned to work and is very glad to be back. She has been very busy putting out fires here there and everywhere. Christi and Nick did go to a first time home buyers class which is required for most of the new home buying programs. It was interesting, Christi and Nick are in a better place than they thought is some areas and not so good in other, but now have a better idea and an appointment with a credit counselor to create a plan to improve their credit more than they have been doing on their own.

Nick took Christi out to a benefit dinner and dance. It would have been great fun is they were not so tired from their very long week. They were falling asleep at their table while the band played. Nick and Christi made it home before 9pm. Hey they got dressed up and went out at least.

Donna has enjoyed caring for the little girls full time.
